Biosyn™ synthetic absorbable sutures are prepared from Gylcomer™ 631, a synthetic polyester composed of glycolide(60%), dioxanone(14%),and trimethylene carbonate(26%).
These sutures are colored violet to increase visibility and are also available undyed.
